Where to eat best steak, sea food – the best places in the area

Most of the restaurants in Big Bay and Bloubergstrand offer divine seafood, some great local restuarants include Blue Peter, Doodles in Beach Boulevard, Cattle Baron on the beachfront, Moyo at Eden on the Bay, On the rocks offers a spectacular fine dining service and Ons Huisie has exceptional traditional cuisine, if you are keen for a beautiful coastal drive, Die Strandloper also offers a wonderful seafood buffet menu with all the traditional fishing village bells and whistles.

Young people want the action places – night clubs and where to meet people.

Blouberg Beachfront offers some of the best hotspots and nightlife, there are a large variety of bars and pubs in this area - from chilled sundowners at Doodles/Pakololo during the week to vibey nightlife at Cubana, Tanzanite Lounge and Pakololo.

Blue Peter is a great place to meet people specifically on a Sunday. Watch kitesurfing, take a stroll "across the ocean" during low tide and enjoy live music.

A minimum of 10% is an acceptable gratuity, but it is important to consider that most of the waiters and bar staff earn mainly tips - so if you are feeling extra generous feel free to tip them more.
